Downloaded the app after reading about trial period guarantee. There were some good things in the app but decided it wasn’t worth it. Been weeks since contacting customer service for a refund within trial period and nothing. Now I have to go through hassle of credit card claim. Would not recommend. Just buy the book.

It is so helpful to hear from other parents, to work at my own pace through the decks, to have GiGi as a resource in tough moments or when I’m worried about one aspect of my parenting…it also great to have longer programs/workshops to utilize and short zoom calls to just touch in and feel less alone.

Good Inside has adjusted our thinking and patterns that were not helpful from the past.  Understanding a DFK and strong-willed child has been a game changer.  Has this been easy tho?  No way… lots of mistakes.  Even times I felt like a failure as a parent by the high levels that Good Inside promotes.  Yet Dr. Becky realistically makes room for our flaws & limitations.  We cannot do this perfectly and that is ok.  For our family, only maybe one issue out of 10 gets addressed per day, and it is enough for now.  I do the daily cards as I can in small bites.  I use the AI feature daily to vent, to ask questions, to dispute some of the answers, and get something that is more realistic for my family and my two kids that refuse any talking about feelings most of the time due to it feeling too vulnerable for them (& being children of a high-conflict divorce).   Thank you for this wonderful gift - we would be lost without it.

Let me start by saying this is the first time I've written a review of my own volition and I'm getting absolutely nothing for writing it. I am so grateful that something like this exists; the app is so well thought out and the program is a great combination of deep dive and quick fix.  The deep breaths I've exhaled  after reading through a script, lesson or listening to a video are priceless. Thank you!

Best resource I've found

We love Dr Becky and Good Inside, but for my wife and I to BOTH rely on this content, the only solution GI offers is to purchase two separate full memberships, which feels like such a racket.

Great content, ridiculous account setup

Some good info overall , but everything I researched/used was full of fluff and not realizing that sometimes kids need discipline and tough love.

I’ve been following Dr. Becky on TikTok for awhile and resonated with her so much! Finally I bought the course after hitting an all time low as a parent, and the cry of RELIEF!!! One of my healthier apps

I was really excited to try Good Inside, but unfortunately it just didn’t work for our family. We’re a foster family, and the commitment to daily lessons and activities didn’t fit our unpredictable schedule.

The real disappointment came when I was accidentally charged after trying to cancel. The only way to contact support is through email, and despite reaching out promptly, I didn’t get a response. When I followed up, I was told repeatedly that I hadn’t contacted them in time, even though I had messages sent through their own website.

After weeks of back and forth, they still refused to issue a refund, despite clear evidence that I hadn’t used the app. The whole experience felt impersonal and not at all parent-centered, which is ironic given their mission.

Do not use free trial, they will charge and not refund.

I love the content. Everything I am ready I am trying to take a mental note. I admit it can be a little over whelming as someone with ADD (the App that is). And I really wish I could figure out how to print some of these articles or scripts. Any suggestions?

I can’t say enough about how amazing this app is. It literally changed my life in 2 days. I am a trauma therapist who often parents through feeling triggered. I have multiple Deeply Feeling Kid’s who are all neurodivergent. I got ads for this app for a full year before I finally signed up during a really low point in my parenting. It has been such a game changer for me, and has made parenting so much less frustrating. I’m happier with who I am as a mother. I feel so much more supported and I know exactly where to go when new issues arise. Very very grateful for this resource and am confident that it’s worth every penny.

Game changer

I was hesitant to pay for membership thinking listening to podcast & book was the same. Membership is worth it! The daily decks & anchor take 2-5min. I haven’t taken advantage of all the other offerings yet. The 2-5min have been tremendously helpful & I look forward to it. The biggest impact is the small mindset shifts I’ve noticed that have “crept” in. It provides a dose of positive, helpful, “you are not alone” insights to counter all the negative ingrained self talk. Love it!

Easy & doable

Only a couple weeks in to having the app and I already feel a huge shift in our home. I feel like a more confident parent and I have an overall happier calmer child. Still working on the behaviors I came to the app for (which I expected to be), but now I truly feel like I know how to handle each situation confidently and calmly. I can tell my child feels more settled because of my confidence and consistency. Between the hard moments, he’s less clingy, more joyful, affectionate and lighthearted. I can’t believe how quickly this has made a difference in how we’re all feeling, but it truly has. I was very skeptical about paying for an app like this, but I thought I’d give it a try after listening to some of her podcasts and talks. It’s SO worth the money already.

Worth every penny

I’m trying to watch the Building Resilience workshop but it’s too long for me to watch in one sitting. So every time I want to watch, I have to search for it in the library and watch from the beginning and fast forwarding instead of being able to resume from where I left off. Otherwise content is very helpful.

Need to be able to bookmark workshops

On my first day with Good Inside, I reached for my phone when I was entering a common tough spot with my 5 year old. I read something quickly that changed the way I viewed my child, which changed the way I approached the situation. It was diffused momentarily and ended with my children thanking me and completely relaxed! They went right to sleep. And of course I went on to have a wonderful evening instead of self loathing after another tough spot. I purchased Good Inside on a whim in a hopeless moment of reflection in the middle of the night, and after day one I know, it’s going to change the trajectory of my family. So grateful!

Win on day 1

I’ve used this app for over a year and use it every day, sometimes multiple times a day. I found it beneficial from the moment I started using it, but have found it to be even more effective the longer I use it. I find myself and steadier, calmer, and more capable parent every time I open the app.

100% worth it

I am at the end of my 4th day using this app and I am loving it so much. I needed HELP as an only parent raising a very hyper and aggressive almost 4 year old boy. The app is easy to use and speaks to me in every way. I have zero time but I’m still able to work this app. Also Dr Becky is brilliant. I feel SO SUPPORTED. Thank you Good Inside! I am loving this app!

This review is about the app not the service. I want to love the app but the way it handles video playing still hasn’t been optimized. 

Can’t exit video player when playing a video - and have a background smaller mini player like most other iOS video playing apps. Really wish you could implement this. Including bugs like the forward and backward 15 seconds in a video not working. I’m not sure why the developer isn’t using the built in iOS video player that I thought apps can use and get these features easily.

Great service but app needs some work.

I lost my mom a few years ago and she was so good with kids and teens. Having this app on my phone makes me feel like I have her in my pocket helping me.

Just amazing

Regardless of the age of your children, this app will be beneficial through every stage of parenthood.  Being a parent of a neurodivergent child is difficult at times but this app has given me so many tools that I can use as a mom - both with my kids and with non-family members. I could not recommend this enough!

I absolutely love Dr. Becky! Her advice is thoughtful, practical and truly makes a difference. The Home Screen is my favorite part.  It’s warm, easy to navigate and feels like a friendly welcome every time I open the app. 5/5 stars!

Good Inside is a game changer

The cards are amazing. I love going through my deck every day.  I love how easily I can watch short videos or find scripts.  I especially love the daily anchor. The reminder function is amazing and I love getting those texts in the throughout the day.

I won’t make this long because if I said everything this app has done for me personally and parentally it would be too exhaustive to read. Basically, life changing. If you’ve ever found yourself wishing your child was born with a user manual, this app is for you. If you’ve ever found yourself wishing you knew how to parent differently than just what you’ve seen, this app is for you. If you’ve ever found yourself in a heap of parenting books wishing for a general method to guide parenting that goes beyond unconnected do’s and don’ts, this app is for you. Honestly, I see this subscription as the most important financial investment in the most important thing to me: my children.

This has not given one thing to teach the child yet. I’m following it, but so far it’s just tricks to distract and manipulate.

This is insightful information presented in a very user friendly way. However, there are some critical flaws in terms of assuming a one size fits all approach to challenging behavior. This guidance should not be used as a replacement for an individualized behavior plan tailored to the child’s unique strengths and areas of need.

Such incredible content, workshops, information and advice in a clear and concise way that is immediately applicable and easy to understand. Changed the way I parent and interact with my children for the better in every way

Game changer for parenting

I really wish there were more examples for how to solve common problems there just isn’t enough of that.

Good advice but not enough

You cannot save your spot!! If you are doing one of her workshops it does now allow you to save your spot. I emailed them to confirm. 🤯 This app is for busy parents. It makes no sense. I ask the AI bot a question in her app with a challenge I’m facing with my children. It recommends a workshop. I start the workshop. Not only does it not save your spot but there is no where to even save the workshop so later you have to go digging to find out which workshop you were listening to and where you left off. There is a chat area where you can ask community questions but too many groups that it’s convoluted and not much engagement. Apparently they highlight certain posts in the main group and those are the ones that get engagement. The advice is repetitious if you’ve read the book or follow her on social media. This app is EXPENSIVE!!!! $83 every 3 months is so steep for something that is pre-recorded videos and AI bot answers. I was so disappointed.

Frustrating

This app fell into my lab when I was literally at my breaking point and I have only been using it for 2 days and I already feel better. It’s helped me to remain calm when my child isn’t. This app is life saving and I’m looking forward to seeing where it takes me and my kiddo!

My Bible

I read her book and I’m so, so glad I started using this app. It is worth every penny and honestly is worth thousands of dollars in workshops, but it’s all in an app, with a live community board and a full library of every resource on your time. Since using her tools and leading with connection, not only do I see my child listening better and understanding more but also feeling more connected to me, and me to her. I get to enjoy my kid more…and not just when she’s happy. I get to love her in her moments of struggle without fear of saying the wrong thing or being overwhelmed. We connect and she comes to me for comfort. How beautiful is that? I love and understand my child and myself more because of Good Inside. Thank you, Dr. Becky. Thank you.

Invaluable, I’m so relieved to have these tools

I was brought up very different than my wife. I also had strong beliefs about raising a strong, resilient, self sufficient man. And this app is helping me realize it is not by force, or loud voice. It’s exciting to be using this to become a better parent, and to see my kid in an even better light. I am grateful there are resources like this for parents!

What an incredible insight!

As a neurodivergent parent Dr. Becky’s approach has not only been useful for my understanding my kids, but for understanding myself as well. I am also a preschool teacher and parent educator. In my school I have parents assist in the classroom every day and I have incorporated many of the scripts in our classroom and recommend this app to all of our families.

Highly recommend as a parent and a educator

I am a big fan of GI podcasts and was a little skeptical of the app at first but it has been a game changer. I think l have used all or most the functions such as AI ASK, community posr, recorded lessons, scripts and all of it has suited the type of support I needed. It’s a great fit for any parent who likes a road map, non judgmental approach and flexibility, and community. No regrets. Recommend for anyone to try- I feel like you’ll know pretty quick if it’s for you and if it’s not… you can cancel! 😊

Worth it

I’ve done two workshops (problem behaviors and anxiety) and I feel like such a better parent. My daughter is 5 and these tools help almost instantly. Amazing what treating a kid with kindness and compassion can do. Also treating yourself with kindness and compassion. I don’t think parenting is any easier but I feel like I can handle it a lot better now. Plus it’s not only helping me be better to my daughter but also better to myself and my friends and my coworkers and my partner. I know it’s not cheap but it’s 100% worth every penny. Dr. Becky really put in a lot of work and it shows. I am so grateful to her every day.

Every parent should have this app

I'm really loving the content. Learning so much. But the app has issues. Most of the time I can't get the videos to play. I'm fighting with it a lot.  And that's the only thing holding me back from continuing to subscribe

Love the content but

I finally pulled the trigger on the subscription when I saw the Mother’s Day sale, so thank you Dr. Becky for the promotion! I am absorbing every thing in this app so far and truly mind blown at the amount of personalized details within the app. It feels like I have my own parenting coachtalking me through some of the hardest times right now. I have been praying to God to help me find parenting resources - that would seriously help my husband and I, and I truly think this was his answer when I was scrolling social media and found Dr. Becky’s promo video to this app!

Actually helpful!

I love her content, she’s taught me so much and I’ll keep buying the app. However it doesn’t hold my spot or remember where I left off on my workshop videos, so I have to scroll through to find my spot. That should be fixed! There’s also not a way to save what I’ve already watched.

Amazing content, not great app

It’s been a week and I already love this app. I frequently use the strategies—with success—within the HOUR of hearing them! My husband was skeptical there could be a format for parenting support that felt accessible and not burdensome— and he loves it, too! Dr. Becky provides understandable info in great formats! Worth it!

If you’re reading this you probably are trying to do better for your kid. Maybe you’re trying to learn how to do it from scratch, or maybe you’re trying to undo the terrible habits that have built up that you are struggling to unlearn from your own upbringing or your own hard times and reaction. Regardless of where it comes from, Good Inside can help you better understand it, and through understanding, can help you build skills to overcome it, so you can choose the kind of parent you want to be instead of feeling hijacked by reactivity.

Better painting for your kids and better parenting for you

I would have loved to see if it could help me with my 6 yr old Autistic son or 4 yr old but the price is just too high. If you get atrial periods that would be great.

the information was a five but I've never had any app that was making me log back in so constantly and it was a huge barrier to use forgetting the password etc. for some that's probably no big deal but I definitely did not get my money's worth because the logging issues made it off very little value. certainly not what it cost which is unfortunate because I believe the info is valuable and was well organized

It is absolutely phenomenal. Really helpful for instant help plus for when I have more time.

Excellent content and visual presentation is easy to digest. I took 1 star off because the app has some glitches. The video is not smooth and when it finished the app froze and an error message came up to either force close the app or wait - waiting didn't work and I had to force close the app and restart.

I just love Dr. Becky's insights and compassion! I wish I could hug her because her wisdom is truly helpful!

It takes a few minutes each day to work on the lesson for the day. It goes over a concept and then examples for how to apply it. There's video, audio, short reading, question- answer, and other formats to reach all types of learners. Using this parenting app has helped me in all areas of my life. Interactions with myself, my spouse, my kids, extended family, and friends all feel more in line with my values. And when they aren't, I know how to repair. I highly recommend the Good Inside App!

Content is great and helpful, but the app is just okay. If I'm not on WiFi, even with 5G, the videos skip or freeze constantly. if there's a way to fix this that I'm missing, I'll gladly adjust my review. I'd like to listen when driving, but as it is, I'm not able to do that.

update broke the app. update 6/30 - response was so fast, especially on the weekend! I guess that subscription cost is being used well. In development, issues sneak out the door sometimes, but I was impressed by the quick fix and responses to my report here and directly. As for the App itself - the content is easy to do in snippets or binge. Lots of interesting features. I think you get what you pay for - high value. Dr. Becky isn't cutting corners!

Honestly I'm so grateful for the clear explanations and understanding of DFK emotions. I have ADHD with PTSD and am learning about my own Deep Feeling emotional regulation and emotional needs at the same time! Great working with you Dr. Becky! Thanks for helping me and my DFK in this scary/not so scary world.

downloaded this after seeing what looked like a hope inducing commercial... then I saw the price. this lady must be out her mind. I guess only wealthy people deserve good, well behaved and well rounded, emotionally balanced children. the rest of us peasants get to kick rocks. don't waste your time unless you're cool spending over $20 a month.

Just wholesome advice and a sounding board on parenting

I'm a huge Dr Becky fan and I really want to love this app, but I can't. It's hard to navigate, seems like there's not a lot of content when for $20/mo I'm sure there's a lot! the notifications are very generic and don't inspire opening the app. The daily deck is very confusing. Sometimes I can't swipe to the next tile. The text doesn't always fit properly on the tile. I'm not really sure why having this app is any better than just following her on Insta. I don't recommend this app. sorry!

There is a lot of options in the menu which is a bit overwhelming and can't find a way to view child info entered to edit. other than that it's a helpful app to stay on top of parenting

Not only the daily decks, workshops, and community exclusive events have improved my relationship with my 3 kids, but it also positively contributed to my relationship with my husband. Plus, my biggest surprise is all the stuff I'm learning about myself, which makes me feel empowered to make key changes.

you have to pay almost 50 bucks right up front before you can have try out the app and see how it is. if i cant try it first to see if i even like even if it is a 24 hour trail it would be enough for me to figure if i want to keep it or not.. and axcess to parenting help should be affordable this is just greedy!!

I've only had this for 30 minutes and every challenge I've had today with my 5 and 8 year old has a wonderful way of reframing the challenge in my brain to help connect with my kid to change these behaviors

video playback is terrible. constantly stops playing at starts at 0:00, I waste a lot of time getting back to where I was.

Good Inside improves my life and relationships every day. Thank you, Dr. Becky! The app is thoughtfully designed, but the screen goes inactive when playing a video full screen on my phone. While playing the Potty Learning series, the screen screen shuts off, although the audio keeps playing.

I hesitated to buy this because of the cost but 20 minutes after using this app, and it's already paid for itself! The content is high quality, and the layout makes so much sense. Dr. Becky has put together something really special here! This is a great parent tool for immediate answers and long-term training and education.

Great content but watching videos in the app is terrible on the pixel phone. You can't watch a video without the screen going to sleep after a few seconds.

Several professionals in pediatric and therapeutic realms have suggested Dr Becky Good Inside. Single Mom with health issues, no village, apart from medical and mental health providers I work full time and have a child with several needs, also working in breaking my own family cycles. A $400 annual fee up front or $120 monthly for 3 months...Ouch! I can't find a free trial to even test out. That's a big ask when I don't know what I'm getting into or if the app will work.

amazing content, but the videos constantly get stuck and there is no flow of content on long form videos because they stop and you have to start over, constantly having to unlock the phone and intervene.

the best parenting app and info I've found, and I've purchased several.

First, I love the content in this app. These lessons have helped us through some seriously tough sleep and separation times with our almost 3 year old. However, the player on the app is so bad it's almost unusable. It does not stop my normal phone screen timeout, and it does not keep playing once the screen does time out. It's almost impossible to get through a course as it is. For how expensive the subscription is, this is a pretty unacceptable standard.

Great advice WHEN you can get it...but app crashes so much, I'm giving up.

1000% recommend! if you've been trying to decide about buying this app, just go for it. I love how tailored it is to my child and how clear Becky's explanations are with lots of clear examples. Worth every penny!

Amazing app! I bought the book and didn't purchase the membership right away, but I'm so glad that I finally took a chance. I thought the GI app might take too much time, but it's set up perfectly to address the issues you want, when you want. Efficient and helpful!! I love that it not only helps us with our deeply feeling kid, but their siblings as well. The best part is that Dr. Becky's advice WORKS!

The app isn't working well on my Pixel. When I watch a video, my screen goes dark and locks and the video stops. Then when I unlock the screen it makes me start the entire workshop/video over. It makes it impossible to do more than a few minutes of work at a time without touching my screen to make sure it stays awake. Any tricks?

Oooft! I love the Instagram content and the questions at the app sign-up stage made the support the app provides sound perfect for me, so I was happy to provide my email address and details. But once I'd signed up I realised there's no content at all available without payment. And working out at £22 or £26 per month (needed in large bulk annual or quarterly payments of £265 or £80) just not possible right now. Reluctantly, uninstallling.

Not only is Dr. Becky's perspective, examples and workshops life enhancing, the tech team created easy to navigate content. The Ask feature is my go to in the moment and is like having a best friend on speed dial. I have recommended Good Inside to all my close friends and wish all parents had this resource.
