Hello this app looks like it has wonderful material and I am very excited for the content but it continually says sorry try again later when I want to hear something. I haven’t gotten past step 1. I bought a year membership. Hope someone can help me so I can use this app.

App doesn’t work

I wouldn’t be so harsh if it wasn’t for the cost, but the advice is genuinely weak. I tried using the AI tool many times and the answers were always the same - talk to the kid about feelings, set a boundary and stick to it. It was never genuinely tailored to situations, never helped navigating teaching values or how to handle the emotions or teach them about emotions- it was formulaic advice with your situation pasted inside. I regret paying for it.

This site gives loads of very practical advice.
This site is very well designed and run.  It does not feel impersonal At All.  They do a great job helping parents build community.
This site helps me to feel seen and supported.
(I hardly ever write reviews. This one is worth the time.  God bless you as you parent, the best, hardest job in the world.)

I’m a big fan of Dr Becky’s book and work. This app was a disappointment. The decks/courses were nice (hence two stars) but the AI feature (Gigi) was problematic. Dr B’s teachings are based in relationships and connection- having parents turn to a mistake-ridden AI chat bot for advice and support runs counter to this. Additionally the customer support team - when I flagged the issue with the AI feature, that it was spitting out problematic responses - was cold, robotic, and tech-focused in their response. A real shock/surprise to me, considering Dr B’s brand. All in all not worth the money. Would suggest just reading her book and watching her social media channels

I love Dr. Becky, the app is great-please just leave it alone!! I feel like every few days something has moved into a new section or disappears-like where did the library go?? My biggest pet peeve with apps is the CONSTANT “updates”. Yes, of course, fix the bugs, but stop changing the home page and tabs and font and everything else!!

I never really leave reviews but this has been a life changing framework and app for me. I have gone to it frequently over the last two years. Dr. Becky has given me the tools to be the mom I’ve always wanted to be. I am so grateful this resource exists.

Life changing

The content is not the subject of this review. I have noticed that almost all the time while using the app for videos (even scrolling through menus) that the GUI is laggy/choppy, and the videos are the same. The audio is unaffected, but I have fast internet and a very new device.

Video Stutter / GUI Stutter / lag

I am a nanny and the parents have provided this app for me to help manage the 3 children. While I find this app good and insightful, it assumes I am the parent. It’s can give me good ideas, but it can’t help me exactly in the ways I need. I think it would be super helpful to be able to choose a different form of relationship of adult to child

So grateful to Dr Becky you changed my relationship with my child - app is clunky and slow to load, wish there was more new content but live discussions make it worth it - chat not helpful, using my kids name “baby A” feels intrusive

I really like the app itself but for some reason the last few days it hasn’t been running nicely. It has a bad delay and causes my phone to overheat while using. This happens even after closing all other apps and restarting my phone. 😕

This has been a game changer for me and parenting my 3 year old. I really thought nothing works at this age and we just have to suffer through it, but we don’t, and it can be enjoyable

Best resource for parents

You know, I have been watching Dr. Becky on socials for a while wanting to better understand what I was doing “wrong” as a parent. My ex-wife and I had chatted earlier today about what to do better for a boy who 90% of the time is amazing, kind, and respectful yet the other 10% are explosions or even more often implosions where he try’s to hold in all of the feelings and can’t breath.

I had no Idea what a Deeply Feeling Kid (DFK) was.

I only share this to emphasize how in  much I cried and laughter and cried again just feeling seen as the parent of a DFK and I’m only an hour in.

I already gifted it to a few others and my Ex-wife. I would take the chance to check out the app and see if it helps you and your family.

Great app with useful information. I also love the on demand Ask Gigi feature. It helps a lot on the fly when I’m unsure how to respond to my child and need quick talking points. The down side is that the “community forum” tab on the app never works.

On demand help

Save your money and skip this app! Her strategy to deal with any aggressive behavior is to say “I won’t let you hit …” and then grab your child’s hand and hold it down. Well this only escalates the behavior and makes my child start squirming to get away while becoming more aggressive

Hasn’t helped with my parenting struggles

I got to a moment in my parenting that was the breaking point and finally paid for the APP it’s been 4 days and it’s worth every penny. The format of learning- through the decks- genius interface. Ask GiGi already helped me through 3 meltdowns. And I don’t feel alone anymore. Thank you

I’ve been in therapy for 5 years, since my first was born, but I was still struggling to get actual actionable parenting advice from my therapist. Enter this app! My second born is so tough and I needed an actual toolbox of what to say because I didn’t learn proper parenting from my own parents. I learned repairing from my therapist but having this app give me the specifics I can say in the moment to my child during intense behavior has been game changing!!

This app has literally transformed my parenting - not only does this affect my relationship with my children, but it has helped me feel more calm and understanding of the journey they are on, allowing them to experience the ups and downs of childhood without the addition of my own feelings and emotions.

Mom of 2.5 yr old with another one on the way. So grateful I found this app. It’s incredibly applicable and actionable. Helps me understand my kids development and come up with ideas and scripts to respond in tricky moments. Plus it helps my husband and I get on the same page about how we will react as a family to harder moments, tantrums, or difficult convos. I’m so grateful for this app. It gives me tangible reminders. And a confidence to navigate parenting situations. I love that it’s digestible in small specific lessons to get me the help I’m looking for quickly, as well as providing regular reminders so I don’t forget things.

A true partner in parenting

I often joke with my colleagues that we have a difficult profession. We navigated a lot of schooling and training for our particular job. Parenting is often times harder. And they handed us a baby at the hospital and said congratulations! Dr. Becky and the Good Inside App is the academic tool to allow us to navigate the ups and downs of parenting. The app is easy to use.

Downloaded the app after reading about trial period guarantee. There were some good things in the app but decided it wasn’t worth it. Been weeks since contacting customer service for a refund within trial period and nothing. Now I have to go through hassle of credit card claim. Would not recommend. Just buy the book.

Customer service is non existent

This app and the whole community experience has been invaluable for me personally and for our family. It is so helpful to hear from other parents, to work at my own pace through the decks, to have GiGi as a resource in tough moments or when I’m worried about one aspect of my parenting…it also great to have longer programs/workshops to utilize and short zoom calls to just touch in and feel less alone.

Good Inside has adjusted our thinking and patterns that were not helpful from the past.  Understanding a DFK and strong-willed child has been a game changer.  Has this been easy tho?  No way… lots of mistakes.  Even times I felt like a failure as a parent by the high levels that Good Inside promotes.  Yet Dr. Becky realistically makes room for our flaws & limitations.  We cannot do this perfectly and that is ok.  For our family, only maybe one issue out of 10 gets addressed per day, and it is enough for now.  I do the daily cards as I can in small bites.  I use the AI feature daily to vent, to ask questions, to dispute some of the answers, and get something that is more realistic for my family and my two kids that refuse any talking about feelings most of the time due to it feeling too vulnerable for them (& being children of a high-conflict divorce).   Thank you for this wonderful gift - we would be lost without it.

Let me start by saying this is the first time I've written a review of my own volition and I'm getting absolutely nothing for writing it. I am so grateful that something like this exists; the app is so well thought out and the program is a great combination of deep dive and quick fix.  The deep breaths I've exhaled  after reading through a script, lesson or listening to a video are priceless. Thank you!

Best resource I've found

We love Dr Becky and Good Inside, but for my wife and I to BOTH rely on this content, the only solution GI offers is to purchase two separate full memberships, which feels like such a racket.

Some good info overall , but everything I researched/used was full of fluff and not realizing that sometimes kids need discipline and tough love.

I’ve been following Dr. Becky on TikTok for awhile and resonated with her so much! Finally I bought the course after hitting an all time low as a parent, and the cry of RELIEF!!! Day one I saw the strategies working and has given me more confidence and space for handling myself and my toddler! I am so thankful for this course

One of my healthier apps

I was really excited to try Good Inside, but unfortunately it just didn’t work for our family. We’re a foster family, and the commitment to daily lessons and activities didn’t fit our unpredictable schedule.

The real disappointment came when I was accidentally charged after trying to cancel. The only way to contact support is through email, and despite reaching out promptly, I didn’t get a response. When I followed up, I was told repeatedly that I hadn’t contacted them in time, even though I had messages sent through their own website.

After weeks of back and forth, they still refused to issue a refund, despite clear evidence that I hadn’t used the app. The whole experience felt impersonal and not at all parent-centered, which is ironic given their mission.

Do not use free trial, they will charge and not refund.

I love the content. Everything I am ready I am trying to take a mental note. I admit it can be a little over whelming as someone with ADD (the App that is). And I really wish I could figure out how to print some of these articles or scripts. Any suggestions?

I can’t say enough about how amazing this app is. It literally changed my life in 2 days. I am a trauma therapist who often parents through feeling triggered. I have multiple Deeply Feeling Kid’s who are all neurodivergent. I beat myself up all the time for not being able to “figure out” my kids, when I am a THERAPIST. I realized that that I don’t have expertise in the area that Dr. Becky has, and WOW she is amazing. I now recommend this resource to my clients, and they’ve seen success as well. My family is communicating much better than before, and having more fun and meaningful moments. I got ads for this app for a full year before I finally signed up during a really low point in my parenting. It has been such a game changer for me, and has made parenting so much less frustrating. I’m happier with who I am as a mother. I feel so much more supported and I know exactly where to go when new issues arise. Very very grateful for this resource and am confident that it’s worth every penny.

Game changer

I was hesitant to pay for membership thinking listening to podcast & book was the same. Membership is worth it! The daily decks & anchor take 2-5min. I haven’t taken advantage of all the other offerings yet. The 2-5min have been tremendously helpful & I look forward to it. The biggest impact is the small mindset shifts I’ve noticed that have “crept” in. It provides a dose of positive, helpful, “you are not alone” insights to counter all the negative ingrained self talk. Love it!

Easy & doable

Only a couple weeks in to having the app and I already feel a huge shift in our home. I feel like a more confident parent and I have an overall happier calmer child. Still working on the behaviors I came to the app for (which I expected to be), but now I truly feel like I know how to handle each situation confidently and calmly. I can tell my child feels more settled because of my confidence and consistency. Between the hard moments, he’s less clingy, more joyful, affectionate and lighthearted. I can’t believe how quickly this has made a difference in how we’re all feeling, but it truly has. I was very skeptical about paying for an app like this, but I thought I’d give it a try after listening to some of her podcasts and talks. It’s SO worth the money already.

Worth every penny

I’m trying to watch the Building Resilience workshop but it’s too long for me to watch in one sitting. So every time I want to watch, I have to search for it in the library and watch from the beginning and fast forwarding instead of being able to resume from where I left off. Otherwise content is very helpful.

Need to be able to bookmark workshops

On my first day with Good Inside, I reached for my phone when I was entering a common tough spot with my 5 year old. I read something quickly that changed the way I viewed my child, which changed the way I approached the situation. It was diffused momentarily and ended with my children thanking me and completely relaxed! They went right to sleep. And of course I went on to have a wonderful evening instead of self loathing after another tough spot. I purchased Good Inside on a whim in a hopeless moment of reflection in the middle of the night, and after day one I know, it’s going to change the trajectory of my family. So grateful!

Win on day 1

I’ve used this app for over a year and use it every day, sometimes multiple times a day. I found it beneficial from the moment I started using it, but have found it to be even more effective the longer I use it. I find myself and steadier, calmer, and more capable parent every time I open the app.

100% worth it

I am at the end of my 4th day using this app and I am loving it so much. I needed HELP as an only parent raising a very hyper and aggressive almost 4 year old boy. The app is easy to use and speaks to me in every way. I have zero time but I’m still able to work this app. Also Dr Becky is brilliant. I feel SO SUPPORTED. Thank you Good Inside! I am loving this app!

This review is about the app not the service. I want to love the app but the way it handles video playing still hasn’t been optimized. 

Can’t exit video player when playing a video - and have a background smaller mini player like most other iOS video playing apps. Really wish you could implement this. Including bugs like the forward and backward 15 seconds in a video not working. I’m not sure why the developer isn’t using the built in iOS video player that I thought apps can use and get these features easily.

Wanted to give this app a try but couldn't see any of the features without spending hundreds of dollars for a subscription. There was no free option to try the app at all. Uninstalled without getting to use the app. I'd recommend you avoid this app and look for more cost-effective options.

The app has good advice, but has AI when it's really not necessary. As caring parents, we should be working to take care our planet for our kids instead of using AI for things that don't need it.

I am the mother of two autistic sons. Although this does not provide extensive information about the spectrum, it does assist me in supporting them with anxiety and other related issues. If every parent were to receive some form of parental assistance the future leaders of this nation would be much better than the ones we have now.

Helping me in many different ways. Love that I can set reminders based on information from the deck I'm currently working on. I've also used the chatbot as a good starting point.

I know this app has a ton of good reviews, and everyone loves Dr. Becky. However, not even giving folks a chance to preview and test out a few small things in the app without payment feels so manipulative. It is incredibly expensive. Please make SOME small amounts of content available without having to pay so that parents can at least preview what they are paying for.

The content is so insightful and very relevant. The Good Inside app is so versatile with daily lessons, overview videos, community forums, and an artificial intelligence chatbot.

I feel like some people would be priced out of this, but it's really good value (if you use it)

excellent content. sometimes the app shuts down out of the blue requiring a restart, or plays 2 videos at once, but I would deal with those kinks to have access to the content. can't recommend it more highly.

I would have loved to see if it could help me with my 6 yr old Autistic son or 4 yr old but the price is just too high. If you get atrial periods that would be great.

the information was a five but I've never had any app that was making me log back in so constantly and it was a huge barrier to use forgetting the password etc. for some that's probably no big deal but I definitely did not get my money's worth because the logging issues made it off very little value. certainly not what it cost which is unfortunate because I believe the info is valuable and was well organized

It is absolutely phenomenal. Really helpful for instant help plus for when I have more time.

Excellent content and visual presentation is easy to digest. I took 1 star off because the app has some glitches. The video is not smooth and when it finished the app froze and an error message came up to either force close the app or wait - waiting didn't work and I had to force close the app and restart.

I just love Dr. Becky's insights and compassion! I wish I could hug her because her wisdom is truly helpful!

It takes a few minutes each day to work on the lesson for the day. It goes over a concept and then examples for how to apply it. There's video, audio, short reading, question- answer, and other formats to reach all types of learners. Using this parenting app has helped me in all areas of my life. Interactions with myself, my spouse, my kids, extended family, and friends all feel more in line with my values. And when they aren't, I know how to repair. I highly recommend the Good Inside App!

Content is great and helpful, but the app is just okay. If I'm not on WiFi, even with 5G, the videos skip or freeze constantly. if there's a way to fix this that I'm missing, I'll gladly adjust my review. I'd like to listen when driving, but as it is, I'm not able to do that.

update broke the app. update 6/30 - response was so fast, especially on the weekend! I guess that subscription cost is being used well. In development, issues sneak out the door sometimes, but I was impressed by the quick fix and responses to my report here and directly. As for the App itself - the content is easy to do in snippets or binge. Lots of interesting features. I think you get what you pay for - high value. Dr. Becky isn't cutting corners!

Honestly I'm so grateful for the clear explanations and understanding of DFK emotions. I have ADHD with PTSD and am learning about my own Deep Feeling emotional regulation and emotional needs at the same time! Great working with you Dr. Becky! Thanks for helping me and my DFK in this scary/not so scary world.

content is fantastic, love all the resources and the different forms it's available in but video playback is really awful - long videos stop after a few minutes and don't restart where you left off. update. I've tried videos again, after giving up on them entirely, and so far they seem to be working much better!

downloaded this after seeing what looked like a hope inducing commercial... then I saw the price. this lady must be out her mind. I guess only wealthy people deserve good, well behaved and well rounded, emotionally balanced children. the rest of us peasants get to kick rocks. don't waste your time unless you're cool spending over $20 a month.

Just wholesome advice and a sounding board on parenting

I'm a huge Dr Becky fan and I really want to love this app, but I can't. It's hard to navigate, seems like there's not a lot of content when for $20/mo I'm sure there's a lot! the notifications are very generic and don't inspire opening the app. The daily deck is very confusing. Sometimes I can't swipe to the next tile. The text doesn't always fit properly on the tile. I'm not really sure why having this app is any better than just following her on Insta. I don't recommend this app. sorry!

There is a lot of options in the menu which is a bit overwhelming and can't find a way to view child info entered to edit. other than that it's a helpful app to stay on top of parenting

Not only the daily decks, workshops, and community exclusive events have improved my relationship with my 3 kids, but it also positively contributed to my relationship with my husband. Plus, my biggest surprise is all the stuff I'm learning about myself, which makes me feel empowered to make key changes.

you have to pay almost 50 bucks right up front before you can have try out the app and see how it is. if i cant try it first to see if i even like even if it is a 24 hour trail it would be enough for me to figure if i want to keep it or not.. and axcess to parenting help should be affordable this is just greedy!!

I've only had this for 30 minutes and every challenge I've had today with my 5 and 8 year old has a wonderful way of reframing the challenge in my brain to help connect with my kid to change these behaviors

Good Inside improves my life and relationships every day. Thank you, Dr. Becky! The app is thoughtfully designed, but the screen goes inactive when playing a video full screen on my phone. While playing the Potty Learning series, the screen screen shuts off, although the audio keeps playing.

I hesitated to buy this because of the cost but 20 minutes after using this app, and it's already paid for itself! The content is high quality, and the layout makes so much sense. Dr. Becky has put together something really special here! This is a great parent tool for immediate answers and long-term training and education.

Great content but watching videos in the app is terrible on the pixel phone. You can't watch a video without the screen going to sleep after a few seconds.

Several professionals in pediatric and therapeutic realms have suggested Dr Becky Good Inside. Single Mom with health issues, no village, apart from medical and mental health providers I work full time and have a child with several needs, also working in breaking my own family cycles. A $400 annual fee up front or $120 monthly for 3 months...Ouch! I can't find a free trial to even test out. That's a big ask when I don't know what I'm getting into or if the app will work.

amazing content, but the videos constantly get stuck and there is no flow of content on long form videos because they stop and you have to start over, constantly having to unlock the phone and intervene.

the best parenting app and info I've found, and I've purchased several.

First, I love the content in this app. These lessons have helped us through some seriously tough sleep and separation times with our almost 3 year old. However, the player on the app is so bad it's almost unusable. It does not stop my normal phone screen timeout, and it does not keep playing once the screen does time out. It's almost impossible to get through a course as it is. For how expensive the subscription is, this is a pretty unacceptable standard.

Great advice WHEN you can get it...but app crashes so much, I'm giving up.

1000% recommend! if you've been trying to decide about buying this app, just go for it. I love how tailored it is to my child and how clear Becky's explanations are with lots of clear examples. Worth every penny!
